The Nashville Bluebirds downed the Omaha Cyclones, 9-0, at Les Paul Field. Stellar pitching by Mark Lolololo had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 8th in the FL with a 7.9 K/9 rate, handcuffed his opponent all game. The Bluebirds have an impressive 84-43 record.

The Bluebirds got a big hit from center fielder Alfonso Gonzáles. Facing Omaha pitcher Ken Sproul in the bottom of the sixth, Gonzáles pounded a grand slam home run to center. His 24th home run of the season put the Bluebirds ahead, 8-0.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Nashville manager Brent Ross.
