A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Long Beach Surfers and Hawaii Tropics.

Austin Nolan knocked in 4 runs to help Long Beach beat Hawaii, 11-6. Nolan produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. The win was credited to 24-year old left-handed pitcher Francisco Ramírez in relief. His record improves to 4-4. Niegloslaw Woywitka took the loss.

Emílio Reyes had a big 2-run double for the Surfers in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Long Beach leading 7-6 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Gheorghe Sollomovici, who is tied for 7th in the FL in holds with 12, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 28th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Surfers ahead, 9-6.

"It never gets old," said Nolan. "Winning, that is."

With the win, Long Beach has a record of 48-80. Hawaii falls to 73-55.
