The Madison Wolves overcame a good performance by Chicago second baseman Ángel De La Cruz to knock off Chicago, 3-2, at Shotz Stadium. De La Cruz went 2-4 with 2 home runs. Harry Dunbar picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-3. Sergio Tormes, who led the JL in saves with 39 in 2061, was tagged with the loss. Alejandro Ramiraze earned his 27th save in 30 chances.

Madison took a 3-2 lead on Negera Zeroual's 13th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Zeroual hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chicago pitcher Sergio Tormes visibly frustrated.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Madison manager Will Myers.

Chicago has now lost 4 consecutive games.
