At F. Nephi Grigg Memorial Stadium, the Boise Spuds and Austin Shredders were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Austin turned a good performance from starting pitcher Mus'ad Amr into a 5-2 triumph over the Boise Spuds at F. Nephi Grigg Memorial Stadium. After today's action, Austin sits at 47-84; Boise slips to 57-74.

Austin won the game in part because of Jorge Herrera. The left fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Shredders ahead, 1-0. For the game, Herrera had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Nothing fazes Mus'ad," said Austin manager Víctor Asario.
