Shredders Get Hard-Earned Win
Austin beat Boise at Austin Baseball Grounds, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Luis Rúbio. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. The Shredders improved to 66-66.

Brent Gilbert was the walk-off hero for Austin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shredders designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Boise manager Mario Contreras. "But we decided not to take it."
