Blazers Pin 5-3 Loss on New Orleans
|
The New Orleans Crawdads got a sterling performance from catcher Domingo Quintana, but the Montreal Blazers still prevailed, 5-3. Quintana went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The defeat makes New Orleans 71-62.
Tom Allen, who is tied for 5th in the JL in RBI with 95, chipped in a 2-run home run for Montreal in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Allen told the Montreal Herald.
