Chicago center fielder Dave Matthes had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Twin Cities River Monsters, 7-5. The Black Sox raised their record to 68-65.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Matthes hit a splitter from Ángelo Rodríguez for a 2-run home run. The Black Sox, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Matthes said.
