Sacramento got a terrific game from first baseman Callum Browne. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Yellow Springs, 5-4. Browne went 2 for 4 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Cory McGuire closed it out for Yellow Springs, earning his 6th save. The Mad Popes, at 27-31, have lost 4 straight games.

The Nine got a big at-bat from first baseman Emílio Navarro. For the game, Navarro was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Yellow Springs a 3-0 lead.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Sacramento manager Fernando Pacheco.
