The 6-5 Omaha win over Chicago was due in large part to Adhyapayana Mehta. The Cyclones third baseman was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The loss makes Chicago 68-66.

Omaha first baseman Stan Lodge contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a forkball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 150th hit of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 5-3.

In postgame comments to the Omaha Daily News, Lodge said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
