The Omaha Cyclones beat the Madison Wolves, 14-5, at Shotz Stadium. The Cyclones got a fine performance from shortstop Kensaku Kato, who went 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Enzo Bouton earned the save for Omaha, his 3rd. The win hiked the Omaha record to 69-66.
In the top of the fourth, Omaha center fielder Steve Pick had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Pick stroked a 2-run single to right-center. It made the score 14-1, Omaha. For the game, he went 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Kato told the Omaha Observer.
