Blazers Sneak By Swamp Foxes, 6-5

Montreal and Cape Fear duked it out and the Blazers came out victorious.
Montreal beat Cape Fear at Blackwater Field, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Vicente Rivera. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Wlodz Sidelsky was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Kalaila Cobar.
Júlio Torres drove in one run for Montreal. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kalaila Cobar. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"Winning never gets dull," said Rivera.
The win for the Blazers lifted their record to 82-56.
