The Charlotte Flyers beat the Charm City Jimmies, 6-4, at OLD BAY Park at Camden Yards. Jacquot Natta threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The former first round draft pick was a menace to Charm City all day. The winner was Natta. He threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Ian Tolley. Earning the save was Josh Dougherty. He's now cashed in 35 of 38 save opportunities.
Wani Matos had a big 2-run double for the Flyers in the top of the first inning. With Charlotte leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Ian Tolley and swatted a double to right. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flyers ahead, 4-0.
"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Charm City skipper Jimmy Días said.
With the win, the Flyers hiked their record to 82-56.
