Flyers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Blazers, 8-4
The Flyers grabbed a win, 8-4, at Ubisoft Field, overcoming a fine effort from Montreal pitcher Liam Johnston. Johnston went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Charlotte reliever Clarence Moore picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Adam Bristcoe took the loss. The Flyers improved to 80-59.

Charlotte used the timely hitting of Alfredo Trujillo to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flyers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Said Charlotte manager Walt Whitworth: "We squared some balls up."
