The Twin Cities River Monsters topped the Madison Wolves, 4-3, in Frick League action at Land O' Lakes Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Twin Cities pitcher and Little Rock, Arkansas, native Erik Brooks. Getting the save was Arnold Cantrell, his 1st. With the victory, the River Monsters record stands at 77-62.
Mathew Malone, the 33rd overall pick in the 2061 draft, helped out the Twin Cities cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the catcher was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
After the game, Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
