Brownies Get Hard-Earned Win
Ricardo Santos did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Yellow Springs Nine from losing the game, 5-4, to the Brook Park Brownies in 10 innings at Brownie Field. Santos was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Brownies are now 62-78, while the Nine fall to 63-77.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Brook Park catcher Çelik Lüfi, facing Tommy Boele, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Brownies the 5-4 win.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Brook Park manager Sylvester Reed.
