The Yellow Springs Nine extended their winning streak.

The Yellow Springs Nine withstood a fine game by Portland first baseman Graeme Odhieng at The Trail in Multnomah, to upend the Lumberjacks, 7-5. Odhieng went 2-2 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Richard Bullock picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-4. He struck out 6 in 5 innings. Cory McGuire got the save, the 7th for him this season.

Yellow Springs used the timely hitting of Roberto Gabriel to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Nine ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gabriel.

The 4th-place Nine have won 7 in a row.
