The Louisville Sluggers defeated the Sacramento Mad Popes, 6-5, in Frick League action at Kentucky Truck Plant Stadium. Louisville pitcher Sam MacPherson had a standout performance. Louisville, at 30-29, sits in 4th place in the Frick League Heartland Division.

Ricardo Capeles was the walk-off hero for Louisville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sluggers designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Capeles said in his postgame press conference.
