The Portland Lumberjacks had to overcome a fine effort from Yellow Springs pitcher Javier Martínez to win, 5-4, in 10 innings at The Trail in Multnomah. Martínez went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Aswad Azeem, now 2-2, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Portland improves to 37-23 with the win. Portland got a clutch hit from Alvin Conley. The designated hitter jolted a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
