The Nashville Bluebirds topped the San Fernando Bears, 5-0, in Frick League action at Les Paul Field. The standout performance belonged to Nashville pitcher and Fullerton, California, native Phil Cole. Nashville is now 41-19.

Alfonso Gonzáles, who led the FL in wins above replacement with 8.1 in 2058, aided the Nashville cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder drew 1 walk.

"Phil is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Nashville manager Brent Ross.
