Vancouver beat Madison in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Vancouver Mounties defeated the Madison Wolves by the score of 8-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Oskar Lojdahl. Lojdahl went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Mounties on the day. Vancouver is now 31-29, while Madison is 20-40.

With Vancouver leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Lojdahl batted against Madison pitcher Mark Moore. Lojdahl hit a fastball to left-center for a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season put the Mounties on top, 4-1.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Mounties manager Hung-k'uei Cui, "I like our chances."
