The exploits of first baseman De-shi Kuo helped the Nashville Bluebirds defeat the Long Beach Surfers, 11-0. Kuo hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Bin-ying Yen earned the win, while 14-year veteran Brody Picot took the loss for Long Beach. Long Beach's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Nashville relied on the bat of Brooks Eliot to get the win. The shortstop produced a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Bluebirds ahead, 3-0. For the game, Eliot had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Kuo told the Nashville Chronicle.
