Hits Galore: Eicher Drills 5 Hits
|
Carlton Eicher of the Fighting Swedes was unstoppable in his team's 11-3 victory over the Pasco Platypus at The Launching Pad. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Wilmington first baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Carlton Eicher singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
