Blazers Capture Close Win
|
The Montreal Blazers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Samuel Nebraska, who kept Cobble Hill hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Blazers win at Ubisoft Field. The third-place Blazers sport a record of 35-27.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Montreal shortstop Jaime Serna, facing Beau Broomhall, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Blazers the 2-1 win.
In postgame comments to the Montreal News, Serna said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
