Twin Cities Earn 8-4 Victory at Vito Costantino Memorial Stadium
Led by 21-year-old Mathew Malone, the Twin Cities River Monsters downed the Long Beach Surfers, 8-4. Malone was 2-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Twin Cities. Andrés Gonzáles nailed down his 6th save. Twin Cities occupies second place in the Frick League Heartland Division at 37-24.

In the top of the seventh, the River Monsters grabbed the lead when Malone hit his 10th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Francisco Ramírez made it 7-3, Twin Cities.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Malone.
