Spuds Dealt 7-2 Loss
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Gamblers beat the Spuds.
Atlantic City turned a good performance from starting pitcher Harry King into a 7-2 triumph over the Boise Spuds at The Ballpark at Bally's. At 30-33, Atlantic City is in 7th place in the Johnson League Atlantic Division.
Unem Ploid, who led the FL in stolen bases with 34 in 2052, chipped in a 3-run home run for Atlantic City in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said King.
