JL Jason Egan Reliever Award Winner Named
Thursday, November 7th , 2058
2058 was a year to remember for Alejandro Chávez.
The Charlotte Flyers closer was the owner of a 2.48 ERA this season over 72.2 innings of work. He made 69 relief appearances and had 47 saves, 79 strikeouts, 23 walks and a record of 3 wins and 8 losses.
He's also now got some hardware, as the 33-year-old has been named the Johnson League Jason Egan Reliever Award winner.
"It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said.
Josh Dougherty of the Phoenix Talons finished second in voting, while Richard Lawrence of the Mexico City Aztecs finished third.
