Dave Matthes of the Chicago Black Sox had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 3-1 win over the Valencia Stars at Dunn Field. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 21-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Dave Matthes singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Eduardo Moreno in the 9th.
