Montreal Deals Vásquez to Cape Fear for Serna Monday, July 17th , 2062 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Montreal Blazers and the Cape Fear Swamp Foxes have agreed to a deal that will have 22-year old RHP Harry Stewart, 36-year old RHP José Barrón, 20-year old RHP Mario Vick, 22-year old RHP Moananani Nana, 20-year old RHP Yaman Abdul-Salam, 17-year old CF Bahiyy al Din Vásquez, and 17-year old RHP Zack O'Brien heading to Cape Fear in exchange for 21-year old 2B Jaime Serna. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Montreal will retain a portion of Barrón's remaining contract. This year, Serna has hit at a .273 clip with 6 hits, no home runs, 1 RBIs and 2 runs scored. |
