Great Stroke: Tims Gets 5 Hits
Sunday, August 20th , 2062
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Keith Tims -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Dunn Field and paced the 16-4 Bears win over the Valencia Stars.
After his dynamite batting performance, the San Fernando first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Keith Tims hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Lindsay Barber in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a sac fly in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Tims is currently hitting at a .296 pace with 23 home runs and 89 RBIs. He has played in 115 games and scored 63 times.
