Eric Owens, the Hawaii Tropics 24-year-old left fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Frick League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 11 hits in 20 at-bats, compiling a .550 average with 4 home runs and 14 RBIs. Owens currently has a .272 batting average with 134 hits, 31 homers, 107 RBIs, 84 runs scored and a .336 OBP. |
