JL Names Newcomer of the Month Friday, September 1st , 2062 Youngster Jorge Herrera emerged as the latest Johnson League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Austin deserved the honor, batting .404 with 10 home runs and 21 runs batted in. Is the month of August a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Herrera enjoy the limelight. This year, Herrera has hit at a .364 clip with 178 hits, 29 home runs, 92 RBIs and 72 runs scored. |
