Outlaws Lindsay Earns 250th Win
Sunday, September 10th , 2062
His goal at twenty was to win twenty games one year, pitch until he was thirty, win the league pennant and to make some money. Well, Barney Lindsay did something even better -- the 38-year-old San Antonio Outlaws star has now won 250 games in his career. That put him in a very select group of pitchers.
He joined that exclusive club today at Denny's Paul D. Lunn Memorial Stadium Presented By Subaru by whipping the Phoenix Talons 3-1, holding them to 4 hits in 6.1 innings while chalking up 3 strikeouts and 3 walks.
In the postgame interview, the modest Lindsay said, "It's special to win 250 games. You don't do it by yourself. You do it with good stuff and a good bullpen. You are only as good as the guys behind you. Years from now I might look back on it and give myself a little pat on the back."
Lindsay has put up a 3.50 ERA in his career and fanned 2952 hitters. His record stands at 250-128 with no saves.
