Hustlers End Harmon Streak Wednesday, September 13th , 2062 It was the best of both worlds for the Las Vegas Hustlers at Palace Station Ballpark & Casino, as they defeated the Calgary Pioneers, 6-0, and also snapped Rusty Harmon's 26-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old Calgary left fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Harmon, we just wanted to win the game," said Hustlers skipper Henry Rectenberg. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Harmon frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." At the moment, Harmon is batting .311 with 1 home run and 60 RBIs. He has played in 139 games and scored 61 times. |
