3 Bombs for Bill Kuhn
Thursday, September 14th , 2062
Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Spuds-Outlaws game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Boise third baseman Bill Kuhn thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Boise to a win, 9-7, over San Antonio.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Kuhn said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Kuhn, who led the JL in on-base percentage with .420 last year, was 4-for-5 on the day with 3 runs batted in.
Bill Kuhn walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Pérez in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Rodríguez in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Steve McFarland in the 12th.
For the season, Kuhn is batting .287 with 149 hits and 31 home runs. He has scored 85 times and batted in 102.
