Austin Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Monday, September 18th , 2062 The Austin Shredders quite simply didn't have what it took this year. The club was formally eliminated from playoff qualification in 2062. "It feels bad," said Shredders starting pitcher Harry Bransington, when asked for his response by reporters. "Having your biggest hopes of the year dashed feels bad." The Shredders have made the playoffs 11 times in their 34 years as a Brewster Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 8th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2054. In the last 10 seasons, the Shredders have only made the playoffs once. Austin last won the Monty Brewster Memorial Series in 2045. |
