Trade: Chapa for Palmer Tuesday, November 7th , 2062 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Swamp Foxes and Surfers have agreed to a swap. Long Beach will get 30-year old C Guillermo Chapa with Cape Fear receiving 19-year old minor league 3B Vincente Palmer in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. Chapa is hitting .194 lifetime with 105 hits, 10 doubles, no triples, 19 home runs, and 72 RBIs to date. He has scored 73 runs, walked 113 times and has a .335 OBP. |
