SP Salah Lutfi Out Monday, July 2nd , 2063 Salah Lutfi at first refused to leave today's Long Beach-Des Moines game after he suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Des Moines starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Lutfi out of action for 10 months.
