5-for-5 Game for Gaajlimitz
Friday, July 6th , 2063
It was a good day at The Trail in Multnomah. The Portland Lumberjacks whipped the Twin Cities River Monsters, 14-3, and designated hitter Mynorli Gaajlimitz showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Gaajlimitz told BNN reporters after the game.
Lumberjacks manager Mons Raider told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 23-year-old "focused and patient."
"It's not luck," the skipper said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Mynorli hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
Mynorli Gaajlimitz singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
This season, Gaajlimitz is swinging the bat at a .350 pace. He has hit 5 home runs and scored 54 times, while driving in 40. His on-base percentage is .397 and he has played in 88 games.
