Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Bayou

Lou Bayou has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 28-year-old Sacramento Mad Popes center fielder extended his streak to 25 games, going 1-for-5 as Sacramento got the best of the Des Moines Kernels at Kid Krauss's Kum & Go Kourtyard, 7-5.

"Lou has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Mad Popes manager Fernando Pacheco said.
Lou Bayou grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.

Bayou is hitting .345 for the season with 9 home runs, 46 RBIs and 67 runs scored. He has 139 hits in 403 at-bats and played in 96 games.
