Cartwright Cup Goes the Distance, Nashville Prevails Wednesday, October 24th , 2063 When the entire season comes down to one game, Fernando Sánchez said you find out what a team is really about. As it turns out, the Nashville Bluebirds are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Twin Cities River Monsters 7-6 tonight at Les Paul Field in order to win the Cartwright Cup and book a place in the next round. "It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Sánchez, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about." Sánchez hit .387 with a .406 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Nashville Bluebirds will play against the Charm City Jimmies in the next round.
