Flyers Emílio Carrillo Down and Out for Year Wednesday, September 17th , 2064
The doctors have spoken and Emílio Carrillo of the Charlotte Flyers didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Carrillo sustained his season-ending injury during the New Orleans Crawdads game yesterday at The Commanders Palace. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Charlotte medical staff reported Carrillo had ulnar nerve entrapment and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.
In 24 starts this season, Carrillo has registered a 5-6 record and a 4.51 ERA.
