Kessel Raps Richmond for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 23rd , 2061 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Commerce's 8-4 win over Richmond, third baseman Rodney Kessel was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at The Citadel. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Kessel said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Rodney Kessel singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Garcea in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
