Rumors Confirmed, Simmons Retires Friday, April 21st , 2062 Douglas Simmons said he's proud of what he's accomplished in professional baseball and he's now comfortable walking away from the sport. The Gotham Heroes starting pitcher announced today that this season will be his last. "It's Freedom 36," he joked with reporters.
