Pelicans End Bowens Streak Monday, May 1st , 2062 José Bowens's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 22 games, as the Rockford Bulldogs dropped their contest with the Havana Pelicans, 8-7, at Stadium Nationale de Cuba. Bowens failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-5. After the game Bowens spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. For the season, Bowens is hitting at a .343 clip with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and has scored 20 runs. He has 36 hits, 2 walks and a .361 on-base percentage. |
