Rally Pitching Ravaged by Jacobs Wednesday, July 12th , 2062 The San Francisco Doves stopped the Black Hills Rally by a score of 13-9 at Ginny Dyer Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Tom Jacobs. The 33-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Jacobs said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Jacobs did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Rally. "Not much that I can say," offered Black Hills manager Dirk Olinger. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Tom Jacobs singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Shusui Fujii in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
