Hit Streak Over, Gunslingers Stop Medina Friday, August 11th , 2062 The streak has been snapped. Armando Medina failed to get a hit in today's game against the Dodge City Gunslingers, bringing his 21-game hitting spree to an end. The 23-year-old Death Valley catcher was 0-for-3, but the Scorpions got the win and defeated the Gunslingers, 3-2. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Medina said. "I got to 21 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" Medina on the season is hitting .312 with 27 home runs. His stats include 92 RBIs and 73 runs scored. |
