South Bend Punchless in 17-0 Loss to Fighting Pheasants
Saturday, August 12th , 2062
Zhuo-cheng Sa hurled a fine game for the Brooks Fighting Pheasants at SUNY Medical Center Presents The Railyard, holding the South Bend Proudest Monkeys to 2 hits in a shutout win.
"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Brooks manager José Chávez said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."
The right-hander had 4 strikeouts and no walks in the 17-0 victory.
"An outstanding job," South Bend manager Troy Gill said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."
This year, Sa has posted a 2-2 mark in 6 starts and has a 3.27 ERA.
