Sánchez Belts 5 Hits
Sunday, August 27th , 2062
Victoria right fielder José Sánchez could do no wrong in his team's 5-0 win over the Firedancers, as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Firedancers skipper Chris Grant said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Sánchez agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
José Sánchez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off George Hanson in the 8th.
This season, Sánchez has hit at a .322 clip with 108 RBIs, 35 home runs and 99 runs scored. He has played in 132 games.
