Mattern Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Tuesday, May 8th , 2063 Doug Mattern of the Rockford Bulldogs tagged 2 hits in today's 15-6 loss to the Gotham Heroes at Rockford Field to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Doug Mattern grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. In this current campaign Mattern is hitting at a .347 clip with 10 home runs and 27 RBIs. |
