Minhas Batters Austin Big Time Sunday, July 15th , 2063 A jubilant Niaz Minhas joined the postgame press conference at Magnum XL Field "The Rock" to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Austin Rattlers pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Duluth Freeze second baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 13-2 Freeze win. "He made it look easy," said Nadir Mas'ud, manager of the Rattlers. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Niaz Minhas singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
