5-for-6 Day for Browne Thursday, August 2nd , 2063 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Callum Browne, it came around today. The 26-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Mountain Park to pace the 15-2 Black Hills Rally victory over the Salt Lake City Alpines. Salt Lake City skipper Millard Foreman told reporters in the press room that "Browne deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Browne hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Callum Browne hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Amelio Torrez in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season, Browne has posted a batting average of .386 with 81 hits in 210 at-bats, 17 home runs and 55 RBIs. He has also scored 35 runs, walked 4 times and compiled a .403 OBP.
